Description

Students will learn about the structure of the United States Government including: founding principles, the constitution and three branches, freedom of press and the role of media, as well as the judicial system. As we delve into the Bill of Rights, we will learn what it means to be a citizen and the importance and values of civil society. In the spring we will learn economic terms, concepts and reasoning and apply them to real-world situations/examples. We will analyze America’s market economy in a global setting. The methods of learning will be through projects, debates and simulations.

Participants must currently be in grades 11 to 12.
