In Mini Chefs, students will explore the fun and independence of preparing simple, healthy foods without using a stove or oven. Each week, students learn practical kitchen skills such as measuring, mixing, assembling, and safely using kid-safe knives to cut soft foods.
Throughout the semester, students will create a variety of no-cook recipes including snacks, salads, dips, and parfaits while learning about nutrition, kitchen safety, and how to follow a recipe from start to finish.
We will do our best to accommodate food allergies by offering alternative ingredients whenever possible. However, this class may not be the best fit for students with life-threatening food allergies, as common allergens may still be present in the classroom.
Participants must currently be in grades 3 to 4.
