5-8 Readers' Theatre & Games - M/W $300 - Learning with Literature - Aubrey Metz

In this class, students will read a unique script each week! Students will have the opportunity to try on many different hats, reading roles from beloved super heroes, to Disney favorites, to dramatic detective characters, and many more! We will also be diving into theater literacy through games, learning about the pieces of a script, stage directions, projecting, blocking, character conflict/resolution, props, sets, and costumes! We will even touch on some elements of Improv. By the end of this course, students should be able to read from a script confidently, grasp the core elements of the world of theater, and complete the course with enhanced acting abilities.
