In this course, students will explore major turning points in American history from the late 19th century to the present. Through hands-on projects, we’ll examine industrialization, the Great Depression, civil rights movements, wars, political shifts, and cultural changes that shaped the nation. We’ll analyze primary and secondary sources, and use creative tools like simulations, art, and debates to connect with the material in meaningful ways. This course is project based and aligned with all applicable state standards. It meets the A–G requirements for U.S. History.
Participants must currently be in grades 9 to 12.
